Why Clinical Pilates?

Clinical Pilates

A 1:1 Pilates-based approach to physical therapy. Clinical Pilates blends rehabilitation science, strength training and corrective exercise with Pilates movements & equipment. Exercises are chosen and dosed specifically to more efficient, effective change than one might see in General Pilates. These sessions are designed to be attended weekly with a home exercise plan that is updated as needed. Clinical Pilates sessions fall under the umbrella of physical therapy, so you may use HSA/FSA to pay for them and/or submit a superbill to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Learn More

General Pilates

Pilates trains movement within a controlled range of motion to maximize mobility and stability from head to toe within the body. There is an emphasis on use of the breath for connection to the deep core. Specialized equipment at the studio includes: Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Swiss Ladder. This equipment allows for exercises to be just the right challenge for all. General Pilates sessions are structured to address all regions of the body in a balanced manner and build symmetry. Many people with minor aches & pains see excellent results from General Pilates alone. Please reach out with questions regarding which Pilates pathway will be best for you!
